Worthington Peaking Power Plant

Harris Group Inc. provided engineering services for the design and construction of this 180 MW Peaking Power Plant. TIC - The Industrial Company provided construction services and constructability input. Harris Group and TIC received a Northwest Construction Consumer Council's Distinguished Project Award for their work.

The electrical generation facility is comprised of four General Electric LM6000 PC combustion turbine generators (CTGs) arranged in a simple cycle configuration. The CTGs are natural gas-fired units with water injection for emissions control. Electric motor-driven centrifugal chillers reduce CTG inlet air temperatures during hot ambient periods to improve plant performance and maximize electrical generating capacity.
