The Grimes Way Central Steam Plant is a new brownfield energy facility on the Pullman, Washington campus of Washington State University. The facility includes three packaged boilers equipped with dual-fuel, low-NOX burners and all the support equipment necessary to generate heating steam to the campus. Up to three (3) 900 kW to 1250 kW emergency generators will also be installed to provide backup and emergency power to portions of the campus.
