Senior Lead Electrical Engineer

SENIOR LEAD ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

Harris Group Inc. has an opportunity for a Senior Lead Electrical Engineer with relevant engineering experience in Energy projects. Successful candidates need to be self-starters with ten (10) years or more experience in high/medium voltage electrical systems design. Candidate should have demonstrated experience in directing the work of other electrical engineers and designers for industrial projects. Candidates design experience should include:
· Electrical system design for power generation facilities, high voltage switchyards/substations, or upstream/midstream gas production facilities
· Power utility interconnections and power systems analysis performing short circuit, load flow and voltage regulation studies for facility distribution systems
· Generation and distribution system relay settings and relay coordination studies
· Specification and purchasing support for large transformers, switchgear, and other major electrical equipment
· Lightning protection system design
· Grounding system design
· Experience with SKM Analysis Inc’s Captor/Dapper program

Candidates should also have experience with code requirements, coordinating design team technical issues, drawing delivery schedules, budgets and coordination with other disciplines. Demonstrated communication skills are paramount to success in this position.

BS in Electrical Engineering and a professional engineer’s license (PE) is required.
