Senior Electrical Designer

SENIOR ELECTRICAL DESIGNER

Harris Group Inc. has an opportunity for an Electrical Designer with relevant engineering experience in gas and oil projects. Successful candidates need to be self-starters with 10 years or more experience in low/medium voltage electrical systems design and AutoCAD drawing preparation for industrial projects. Candidates design experience should include:

• Power distribution systems design, including preparing drawings for construction
• Layout of underground conduits and duct banks
• Layout and routing of cable tray and conduit systems
• Motor started and miscellaneous control schematics and wiring diagrams
• Cable routing, circuit schedule and termination schedule development and preparation
• Lighting distribution and fixture selection for indoor and outdoor lighting systems
• 3D modeling
• Model and paper space

Candidates should also have experience with code requirements, coordinating design team technical issues, drawing delivery schedules, and coordination with other disciplines. Demonstrated communication skills are paramount to success in this position.
