Green Power Systems, LLC waste-to-energy project yields 35MW net

Project Location: Tallahassee, FL
Harris Group has signed a contract with Green Power Systems, LLC to provide engineering for a waste-to-energy project near the city of Tallahassee. The site will use Westinghouse plasma arc technology to gasify 1000 tons per day of MSW (municipal solid waste). The resulting syngas will be used in a Rankin cycle to produce approximately 35MW net.
