Carletti Architects | Coupeville, WA

Project Overview
Harris Group provided comprehensive mechanical engineering and design services for a new Fire and EMS station. The project included designing HVAC, vehicle exhaust, kitchen ventilation, and plumbing systems to ensure safety, efficiency, and environmental compliance.

Highlights
Key features included a VRF heat recovery system for HVAC comfort in offices, community meeting areas, and living spaces, maximizing energy efficiency. We designed a vehicle exhaust system capable of safely routing noxious fumes out of the apparatus bay when trucks start their engines. Additionally, a Type I hood with makeup air was planned over the kitchen range and oven, complemented by a dedicated compressed air system for the bays.

Outcomes
The completed design delivered a safe, efficient, and environmentally-conscious facility that meets the operational needs of emergency responders. Harris Group’s integrated approach ensured reliable HVAC and exhaust systems, supporting a healthy and safe environment for personnel and the community.
